Agnes Awuor Onyango serves as the Finance Officer at the Community Alliance for Health and Development (CAFHED), where she provides strategic financial leadership and oversight to ensure sound financial management, compliance, and organizational
sustainability. She brings strong expertise in financial planning and budgeting, accounting and record keeping, financial reporting, cost control, audit compliance, and risk management.
In her role, Agnes leads the development and monitoring of organizational budgets, oversees expenditure tracking, ensures timely and accurate financial reporting, and strengthens internal controls in alignment with regulatory and donor requirements. She plays a critical role in promoting financial accountability, transparency, and efficient resource utilization to support CAFHED’s programmatic impact. Her approach emphasizes stakeholder engagement in budgeting processes, fostering alignment between financial strategy and organizational goals.
Previously, Agnes served as a Finance Assistant at Activate Action and completed her finance internship at the Lake Basin Development Authority, where she gained hands-on experience in bank reconciliations, financial reporting, payroll management, and application of GAAP and IFRS standards using accounting systems such as QuickBooks.
Agnes holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance and Banking), Second Class Honours (Upper Division), from Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology and has completed CPA Foundation Level under KASNEB. With strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and commitment to excellence, she provides senior-level financial stewardship that strengthens CAFHED’s institutional growth and sustainability.
