Mercy Katam Cheboi is a dedicated development professional serving as Project Officer for Maternal, Child Health and Early Childhood Development (MCH & ECD) at CAFHED–Kenya. She brings over five years of experience in adolescent health programming, economic empowerment, and community systems strengthening, with a strong commitment to supporting vulnerable girls, young mothers, and underserved households.
She holds a Bachelor of Business Management (Finance and Banking) from Moi University, CPA Section I certification, and a Certificate in Business Management from Kenya Institute of Management. Her financial and management expertise enhances program budgeting, performance monitoring, compliance, and data-driven decisionmaking—key strengths in donor-funded initiatives.
Before joining CAFHED, Mercy worked with the USAID Nuru Ya Mtoto DREAMS program as a Ward Coordinator and AGYW Mentor, implementing evidence-based HIV prevention interventions for Adolescent Girls and Young Women. She led safe space coordination, mentor supervision, child protection compliance, and reporting aligned with USAID standards, while contributing to Data Quality Assessments and Continuous Quality Improvement processes.
Mercy combines financial acumen, strong facilitation skills, stakeholder engagement, and inclusive programming to deliver accountable, high-quality MCH & ECD services that create measurable and sustainable impact for communities served by CAFHED.
